Customs Broker UK
We ensure a smooth transfer of goods via ship, e.g. from Calais to Dover, our customs specialist will work with you to provide UK customs with specific detail regarding the shipment as well as mandatory information.
By way of example, we’ll be required to submit the following information for successful imports into the UK:
- A commercial invoice for the imported goods issued by the importer:
- A packing list (where applicable)
- An export declaration issued by an agent in the country of export
For best practice the commercial invoice should include:
- Exporter and importer names, addresses and EORI numbers
- Date, invoice number
- Goods’ description
- Invoice total: value, net weight, number of packages
- Total figures for each unique commodity code:
- net weight, value, number of packages and the origin
- Incoterms / Transport costs if not included in the goods’ value
- Statement of origin if applicable – “The exporter of the products covered by this document … (provide exporter EORI number) declares that, except where otherwise clearly indicated, these products are of ……. preferential origin.”

T1 Documentation
T1 customs documents is a type of transit procedure allowing transit crossing EU borders.
These charges are not due until the goods are arriving at the destination country. The key element in the T1 procedure is that it is an external transit procedure, which is hence used for the import non-EU goods. This means that the goods have not been manufactured in the EU, but are to be transported trans-nationally within Europe.
Transport over a third country is also possible with the T1 document.
